Dear Students,
As of late, I have picked up a book that has touched me more than any book has for a long long time…
The book is entitled “La Croix des Anneés Rouges”, meaning “The Cross of the Red (or bloody) Years”. Though not an autobiography, the book is a testimony to events lived by the author, who at the very young age of 17, become a member of the Red Cross in Lebanon during the turmoil of civil war.
Page after page, mission after mission, I started seeing the world through that young man’s eyes… and I started wondering… What is it that I have been doing in my life to help others?
I have always been a firm believer that life is not worth living unless it touches other people’s lives.
Am I doing enough?
Each person chooses his own path, his way of contribution. I chose the power of the word.
May these words today inspire you my students to look into your lives and ask yourselves…
Am I doing enough?
How can I do more?
May you always be an agent of positive change in other people’s lives as well as yours,
Till next issue,
